Where to begin?
The first thing to do, before starting to look at properties, is to get some advice from a Flagstone Adviser. They will give you all the insights into different buying schemes from the whole of the market, what you can afford to borrow, how much it will cost and more importantly guide you through the whole process. It is never too early to talk to someone, small changes made before you buy can help increase your mortgage capability.

Determining your budget
Our Advisers will talk you through how much you can borrow based on your deposit, income and expenditure. More importantly they will also go through what your mortgage payments will look like when you do borrow it.

Concerns about the deposit?
Your Adviser will let you know if you have enough to secure a new property. There are low deposit mortgages available, and your Adviser can let you understand if these will be available to you.

Preparation before Adviser consultation
Make sure your credit score is in great condition by consistently paying all bills and credit cards on time. Working hard to reduce existing credit card debt would be advisable if your borrowing is more than 50% of your credit limit. Avoid applying for new credit or undergoing credit checks before beginning your purchasing journey. A top-notch credit score opens up access to more favourable buying schemes and opportunities.

What if I would like to buy a New Build property, can an Adviser help with that?
